Festival of Creative Ageing: Engagement Launch

Man and women sing with microphones

For three weeks in September and October 2019, Lewisham will become a hive of creative activity, celebrating the transformative power of the arts in our lives as we age.

The festival will feature older artists and artists engaging with the issues of ageing, drawing in audiences of all generations.

We want to showcase and support the talents of older people in the borough – and the life-enhancing benefits of creativity.

Join us for the Engagement Launch to be part of shaping the festival right from the start. The event will offer the chance to let us know what you would like to see and do as part of the festival and discover more about early plans.

You can find out how to apply for grants of up to £2,000 to stage your own events and projects as part of the festival. We can also match up groups with local artists to make your projects happen, and tell you about support available planning events and writing grant applications.

Lewisham’s first Festival of Creative Ageing is co-produced by the Albany, Entelechy Arts and Lewisham Council, working with a range of other key partners.
