Meet Me at the Movies Film Club Facilitator
The film club meets twice a month and includes a diverse mix of older (over 60) participants and volunteers of all ages, who share a love of film. The screening and film discussion group currently take place at the Albany in Deptford. But in April we will be moving our film discussion group to Goldsmiths University. We are looking for a new group of volunteers to help with this new group and with our screenings.
Meet Me at the Albany Volunteers
The Albany and Entelechy Arts are looking for volunteers for Meet Me at the Albany, a weekly arts club for the over-60s. Meet Me at the Albany is a pioneering concept to help reduce isolation and improve wellbeing through high-quality artist-led sessions. We offer a wide range of activities to participants, including sculpture, painting, spoken word, movement, singing, and much more.
Meet Me Befrienders
Meet Me Befrienders is an extension of Entelechy Arts Meet Me programme of activity for isolated older people. As a volunteer, you will take part in group befriending activity and support isolated older people to be more connected to their community including; sing-a-long sessions; movement work and movie meetups. During the sessions, befrienders play a vital role in helping to support older people in the group engage with group work.
Meet Me At Downham Leisure Centre
A Movie club like no other—open to anyone over 60 in Lewisham, including those living with Dementia and their carers. We are looking to recruit volunteers to support isolated older people to take part and help create an inclusive, safe and open environment for everyone taking part.
Meet Me at Downham Leisure Centre will work with older people coming to terms with changes in their life (such as changes in health; mobility; cognition and social relationships). Volunteers will be an essential part of the project and will create a welcoming space for members.
Volunteers play a vital role in supporting Entelechy Arts’ work.
You can get involved by working alongside our participants in a range of weekly creative events like helping to run a film club, supporting people to access our events or Befriending.
“I love the fact that Meet Me is so inclusive. Whatever your face or faith or ability everyone is so inclusive and welcoming.” Project volunteer
