We’re looking for a new Chair!

We are looking for a Chair who can bring fresh energy to our work! Someone who can embody the joy and care we aim to bring to our activity, who can ensure our work stays up-to-date and at the forefront of participatory arts practice, and who has lived experience of the challenges our communities face.

In general, our trustees are required to:

  • Ensure the effective, efficient administration and financial stability of Entelechy Arts.
  • Provide governance and aspiration for Entelechy Arts, ensuring delivery in line with its business plan and strategic objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador and advocate for Entelechy Arts.
  • Have good communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure that the Board has put in place satisfactory systems of control in respect of legal, operational and financial risk management.
  • Be available at times outside of board meetings for sub-committees as required.

Our current board already fulfill these duties, meaning our new chair can focus on ensuring our work stays relevant and impactful, embodying the joy and care that we place at the heart of everything we do.

Time Commitment

Trustees join the Board with an initial 3-year commitment, which can be renewed. Entelechy’s Board meets 4 times per year, generally at the company’s base in Deptford SE8 on Tuesday evenings, though also online when necessary.
