We’re recruiting a new Fundraising Lead!

We are recruiting a new Fundraising Lead to join the Board of Entelechy Arts!

We are looking for a new trustee who believes in the mission of the charity and can bring new skills to our dynamic Board. We are particularly interested in someone with fundraising experience in the charity or cultural sectors, with an emphasis on individual giving.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a new Trustee with a fundraising background in the charity or cultural sectors. This individual will also be the Fundraising Lead for the Board, working with the Director to help diversify our income streams and respond to new opportunities. While we have a strong track record in securing grants, there are many exciting opportunities to grow and diversify our income, including small, medium and large donations, legacy giving, corporate sponsorship, and many more.

Our Board provides a range of skills and experience that meet the organisation’s needs for strong governance and are able to devote the time required to play their role effectively.

Our trustees are required to:

  • Ensure the effective, efficient administration and financial stability of Entelechy Arts.
  • Provide governance and aspiration for Entelechy Arts, ensuring delivery in line with its business plan and strategic objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador and advocate for Entelechy Arts.
  • Have good communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure that the Board has put in place satisfactory systems of control in respect of legal, operational and financial risk management.
  • Be available at times outside of board meetings for sub-committees as required.

Time Commitment

Trustees join the Board with an initial 3-year commitment, which can be renewed. Entelechy’s Board meets 4 times per year, generally at the company’s base in Deptford SE8 on Tuesday evenings, though sometimes online when necessary. In addition there is one Board away day per annum. The trustee will be expected to also chair Entelechy’s fundraising sub-committees, which meets quarterly. Other time commitments will include ongoing liaison with the Chair of the Board (generally by phone or email), attending key Entelechy Arts’ events, championing the charity in external networks and developing influential partnerships.
